Post Installation and Hillside Clean-Up in Waipu
On a sloped section of a rural Waipu property, the owner needed posts installed and a build site cleaned up. The working area was tight, with limited room for gear or movement. Alongside post ramming, the job also involved dealing with leftover concrete debris and finishing the area with fresh topsoil.
Project Summary
This job took place on a narrow hillside section, where space was at a premium. The first task was to install posts directly into the slope, rammed in securely despite the tricky angles and limited clearance.
Next, we addressed leftover concrete debris from earlier construction work. We buried the clean, inert material on-site, keeping it out of the way and restoring the land without the need for cartage. With the debris dealt with and the posts in, we brought in topsoil and levelled the area, transforming a rough construction patch into a tidy, usable slope.
Tight access was the key challenge here, with little room to manoeuvre machinery. Working methodically and using compact gear, we completed each step without disturbing the surrounding land.
Outcome + Client Benefit
The hillside now has properly installed posts and a clean, level finish where there was once rubble and clutter. The old concrete is buried and out of sight, and the area is safe, tidy, and visually restored. Despite the limited space, the job was completed efficiently and left the slope in good condition. This Waipu job reflects a common Northland situation, which at times can be tight, uneven build sites on hillsides with leftover construction debris. With the right equipment and a clear plan, even restricted spaces can be transformed into functional, clean parts of the property.
